According to gurus some amount of tinnitus is standard. This occurs when acoustic conditions concur to make the sounds of the fluids within our heads audible.

These sounds are ordinary and regularly unobserved because outside and louder noises mask them and keep them from our attention. Tinnitus may occur after exposure to extremely loud noises like gunfire or a loud rock concert but the ringing disappears after a time period, but when it recurs or remains, it may be a symptom of ear damage or sickness. Exposure to loud noises has been catalogd by pros as one of the number one factors behind the malady. What happens is that continuous exposure to loud noises damages the miniscule hair cells in the inner ear, and once damaged can’t get replaced.

These hairs, called stereocilia vibrate replying to sound waves. These hair cells create electrical impulses that travel along the auditory nerve to the brain. Once these signals hit the brain, they are understood as sound. Any change in these hair cells can upset the balance in the system, leading to tinnitus. There are two basic forms of the condition. Objective tinnitus refers to a sound even the doctor can hear. This will be the sound of blood circulating carried by the carotid artery, which runs near to the ear. However, a vast majority of cases are subjective tinnitus, or those sounds which only the patient can hear.

The draining nature of the condition has led many to seek a tinnitus cure. However, there is no specific remedy for tinnitus.
